While Dr. Vale was preparing to complete the initial interview with Claire, the rest of the assessment team remained in the security room, monitoring the events through the system’s many cameras.
Albert’s excitement was palpable as he observed Claire seemingly sense Dr. Vale’s presence long before reaching him. “She seems quite gifted. Imagine what she could achieve with proper training.”

Qelli’s voice came over the speaker. “I am registering environmental and electromagnetic changes in Ms. Wilson’s vicinity, though her vitals remain at their initially elevated state.”
“You’ve got yourself another witch, Kyle,” Conrad said, pointing at the monitors.

“It would certainly seem that way,” Dr. Hall responded, taking note of the computer’s readings. “None of her family information came back on any register we have, but as we all know, our records are far from complete.”
“She is reacting to his predatory nature. Dr. Vale may have his hands full with that evaluation,” Albert said with a snicker.

“Alexander is a big boy, and that is not the first Hexen he’s encountered. Plus, at that range, my money is on the vampire every time,” Dr. Hall replied, continuing to study their interaction on the monitors.

“Environmentals have returned to normal, and her vital signs are calmer than her original baseline. Dr. Vale has told her a joke and is now beginning the proper line of questions,” Qelli’s voice reported from the speaker once more.

“Was it the containment breach joke again? I keep telling him that’s not funny. Not at all,” Dr. Hall asked the AI, shaking his head.

“I am afraid that was precisely the joke he used, Dr. Hall.”
