Dr. Vale was barely awake when he noticed the normally hidden monitor flashing, revealing Dr. Hall’s face.
“Sorry to contact you so early, but there’s something going on with Ms. Wilson that I could use your help with,” Dr. Hall stated through the video feed. “She has the SV01 enzyme in her blood.”
Dr. Vale started getting dressed, pausing with his shirt in his hands. “I just woke up. Could you repeat that last part?”
“Earlier today, Ms. Wilson had a high fever and flu-like symptoms. I gave her something for the fever and took a blood sample, which tested positive for the enzyme. Her temperature has returned to normal, and she’s been sleeping since,” explained Dr. Hall.
“I see,” acknowledged Dr. Vale, finishing getting dressed. “Meet me over there, and we’ll see if we can get to the bottom of this.”
