Alchemy


Overview

Alchemy is one of the Paths which has no real active component and is mainly used for item creation. Though it does offer some insights into many forms of transmutation, especially regarding both organic and inorganic matter. All Alchemy requires a lab of some sort to be utilized, though a travel kit can be made at Rank 4 which allows the Alchemist to create level 1 and 2 compounds on the fly.

  • Casting Time: 1 Day
  • Cost: 1 WP
  • Rolls: Intelligence + Alchemy or Casting (diff 5)
  • Effects: More of a process than a spell or ritual, this allows the user to boost some of the natural properties of something they intend to use for other magics. This can be herbs, oils, or anything that is not alive. Marginal = -1 diff, Complete = -2 diff, Exceptional = -3 diff to the spell that these components are used in.
  • Side-Effects: Botching means you don’t realize you got a bad batch and that is going to taint whatever magic is done with it.
  • Notes: Power only applies to duration (which is how long the additional potency lasts before fading), as there is no range.
